Morpheus Ingredients

What is Morpheus?

Morpheus is a product that helps treat any sleep-related disorder. Disorders such as insomnia and nightmares are irradiated thanks to the product. Sleep disturbances result in a night that is neither restful nor restorative. Sleep has a "battery recharging" effect on the human body, we feel invigorated and a good night's sleep translates into a greater ability to be active during the day. Many studies have proven the need for a good night's sleep on the body as well as the harmful effects of a lack of restorative sleep. It is to deal with these problems that we created Morpheus.

To achieve the desired effects, we used California poppy or Eschscholtzia, a herbaceous plant belonging to the Papaveraceae family. Originally from California, it is known to relieve insomnia and nervousness. California poppy contains many alkaloids including protopines, aprophines and pavines. It is antispasmodic, anticholinergic and increases the binding of GABA neurotransmitters to its central receptors. California poppy is also anxiolytic in low doses and hypnotic in higher doses.

What is the advantage of Morpheus?

Morpheus has the advantage of absence of typical side effects (constipation, feeling of "hangover", dizziness, etc.) induced by certain narcotic drugs (hydromorphone). This makes this product an excellent choice for older people who may experience side effects more aggressively.

Although it is a natural hypnotic, it has no central nervous system depressant activity. The whole plant (California poppy) is used. It acts globally on the central nervous system.

By using natural products, we try to avoid the undesirable effects of psychotropic drugs. For information, some adverse effects of neuroleptics are:

  • particularly intense sedative effects
  • muscle damage
  • thermal regulation disorders
  • seizures
  • sexual disorders
  • apathy
  • dizziness
  • weight gain
  • photosensitivity
  • etc.

These drugs will be strongly recommended in cases of major depression diagnosed by a health specialist. If you are suffering from major depression, it is strongly advised that you follow up with your health specialist.

Since the list of side effects is long, tedious and these effects are sometimes more than dangerous for health, we decided to create a product that will have a soothing effect without all the side effects accompanied by the synthetic drugs used in cases of sleep disorders and other related disorders.

How to maximize the therapeutic effect of Morpheus?

In situations where the therapeutic effect is not satisfactory, to achieve the optimal effect, Californian poppy must be combined with other plants or other dietary supplements. We advise to take together with the product Seren, a product with sedative properties but which has a different mechanism of action. Consideration should be given to the prescribed doses needed to experience the desired effect.

The Active Component of Morpheus

Eschscholtzia Californica

In humans, clinical studies have shown that Eschscholtzia is effective in improving sleep disorders: it decreases the sleep onset phase and improves sleep quality.

Lack of restful sleep is a scourge that affects many people. Sleep quality is often an important health indicator, and insomnia can have physical and psychological consequences.

Although the therapeutic effect is less intense and less rapid than that of chemical drugs, the California poppy does not cause addiction and does not modify the architecture of sleep. It therefore occupies a prime position in the treatment of sleep disorders, it has demonstrated sedative effects, it represents the stage of sleep organization, unlike some drugs.

It has no side effects. Its traditional use has been verified in animals through behavioral tests, clinical studies have also been conducted in humans, the sedative effect has been evaluated by measuring the time to fall asleep, the quality of sleep, nocturnal restlessness, and dream comfort. The anxiolytic and depressant components are evaluated by comparing the effect of the plant with an anxiolytic or a reference antidepressant.

The California poppy shortens the time to fall asleep and this has been verified experimentally, it is used in the case of nervousness accompanied by sleep disorders and anxiety, in the form of an infusion (flowering aerial parts).
