Allergies
are a big problem for a lot of people, for up to 40% of the worldwide
population, as it is currently estimated by the World Health Organization.
Allergies can cause all sorts of problems, from sneezing and runny noses to
more serious issues like anaphylactic shock. That's why our research team is
working to develop a new biosensor that can help people with allergies better
monitor their condition and prevent future crises.
Our
new biosensor will be extremely sensitive and will be able to detect allergens
in the smallest amount. Additionally, it will be able to help identify false
allergies, which can often lead to people unnecessarily avoiding certain foods
or substances. This biosensor will allow for the
correct treatment of enzymatic insufficiency, as well as several other
potential applications in emergency medicine.

Group E.N. Biomédical and its staff actively participate in the community, its leaders having served on the board of directors of the Military Family Resource Center (MFRC) as well as the Local Center of Development (CLD). Our staff also actively participates in the professional training of young graduates (technologists and biochemists) from CEGEPs and universities, as well as in the integration of immigrants by training interns.

Elena Haidet PhD
Elena Haidet PhD and member of the Ordre des chimistes du Québec, has established herself as a leader in the field of chemistry, biochemistry and pharmacology. Her work has been recognized by her peers as well as by the business community through her multiple awards and nominations. Co-founder of the E.N. Biomedical Group, she and her team of scientists are involved in medical research in order to create markers with increased clinical value, develop new laboratory tests and improve existing diagnostic tests. She has also initiated and participated at the creation of each natural product and is lead scientist in the biosensor research project.
Nicolae Nitu M.B.A.
Nicolae Nitu holds a bachelor's degree in economics,
finance-accounting specialty from the University of Economics and Law of
Timişoara, Romania and an MBA in finance and business management from HEC
Montreal. With extensive experience in public finance, he has held several
management and financial administration positions and has thirty years of
military service in the Romanian and Canadian army. In 1999, he focused his
efforts on business development and co-founded the company JoanaBiomédical
Ltée.
